 Getting to Strathcona Park Lodge

The Lodge is located forty minutes by road from Campbell River, and an hour and a half from Comox. Both Campbell River and Comox are served by airports, however the Comox airport has more frequent flights and tickets are correspondingly cheaper. You may find it most convenient to arrive through Comox airport. Rental cars and shuttle service are available from both airports. Parking at the lodge is free.

If you choose to fly in to Vancouver or are driving up from the US, you can get to Vancouver Island via BC Ferries. if this is your first time to BC, the longer journey can be well worth it! Another option is through Victoria, via air or there are multiple ferries from the US (from Port Angeles, Seattle or Anacortes) - again, the longer drive up along the coast can be quite spectacular. The drive from Victoria along highway 1 and 19 is approximately 3 hours to Campbell River. Highway 19A is a good option from Nanaimo to Campbell River for a more scenic drive and leisurly pace.
